Tresillian’s major role is to assist families with challenging and overwhelming situations that are new to them – having a child. Our organisation has experts in health categories and these are a few of the following tips that our centre provides for parents:
Baby Preparation
Well-being maintenance:

Maintenance of a healthy diet and regular physical activity allow for relaxation and coping with stress

Identify support groups in the local community for extra help
Preparing for role:

Use support networks or experienced individuals for education about role preperation i.e. knowing what to do when baby is unsettled, crying etc.

Discussing parenting roles and discpline with partner
Fulfilling responsibilities:

Put up safety gates at the bottom and top of stairs

Install fire detectors

Make sure the food given to child is properly prepared, suitable to their age and diet

Make sure bedding conforms to the latest guidelines to prevent Sudden Infant Death Syndrome
Quick Relaxation Tips

Stay calm and keep your breathing steady and quiet

Do long breathe-in-and-outs, relaxing your facial muscles and shoulders

Relax your entire body.
