TRESILLIAN TIPS

Tresillian’s major role is to assist families with challenging and overwhelming situations that are new to them – having a child. Our organisation has experts in health categories and these are a few of the following tips that our centre provides for parents: 

 

 

Baby Preparation

 

Well-being maintenance:

  • Maintenance of a healthy diet and regular physical activity allow for relaxation and coping with stress

  • Identify support groups in the local community for extra help

 

Preparing for role:

  • Use support networks or experienced individuals for education about role preperation i.e. knowing what to do when baby is unsettled, crying etc.

  • Discussing parenting roles and discpline with partner

 

Fulfilling responsibilities: 

  • ​Put up safety gates at the bottom and top of stairs

  • Install fire detectors

  • Make sure the food given to child is properly prepared, suitable to their age and diet

  • Make sure bedding conforms to the latest guidelines to prevent Sudden Infant Death Syndrome 

 

Quick Relaxation Tips 

  • Stay calm and keep your breathing steady and quiet

  • Do long breathe-in-and-outs, relaxing your facial muscles and shoulders

  • Relax your entire body.

  • This will releave a lot of stress in a short period of time.
