-
Sleep and settling
-
Breastfeeding
-
Infant/Child feeding
-
Toddler behaviour management
-
Sibling issues
-
Multiple births
-
Isolation
-
Difficulties associated with birth such as prematurity, complicated delivery
-
Difficulties associated with disabilities/chronis illnesses
-
Adjustment to parenting issues including relationship issues
-
Your emotional health and wellbeing
The service promotes the preparation of roles and fulfilling of responsibilities by allowing parents to stay for a whole day and gain insight about overcoming certain issues or being prepared for future challenges. Being a parent can be difficult, so the service also promotes the involvement of significant others- parents are able to bring along a support person to help them cope with their current role.
Day Stay simultaneously provides education, counselling and health services, along with maintaining the individual’s wellbeing. It supports emotional wellbeing through the ability to have a support person, economic wellbeing through no fee charges, and social wellbeing as parents have the ability to talk to other families at the organisation and create relationships.
During the one day visit, Tresillian’s team of Registered Nurses with Child and Family Health qualifications, Psychologists and Social Workers, engage and work with families to provide education, counselling and health support to maintain the wellbeing of individuals and reach certain goals the family has set out.
